Russian Butterfly Necklace: An intermediate level two day class for beaders with some previous peyote stitch experience. We’ll spend the first day creating an elegant butterfly centerpiece for this garden inspired necklace using Russian Leaf Stitch (diagonal peyote stitch). On the second day you’ll learn two variations of this stitch to create the long, background leaves and straps. We’ll assemble much of the piece and complete the garden look with lily-laden zig zag vines. You will find this piece easy to create if you take at least one beginning level peyote stitch class before taking this one, or if you already have some experience with peyote stitch.
